I’m my most creative self when the weather is ‘bad’ and with smaller groups of people, and you can probably see it in my work.
I’m drawn to moody colors and smaller, more intimate weddings and elopements and portrait sessions where we’re free to be our most authentic selves.
I did not grow up planning to be a photographer - I was not the girl in the high school photography class - I have never been the one constantly documenting, clicking, posting.
But, I was the girl who brought her book with her everywhere. Who romanticized the raindrops on the car windows like a music video. I grew up outside in the Pacific Northwest, near Seattle, weekend getaways as the affordable staple in my childhood. I have always been too stubborn to follow any path other than my own, and that path led me to this passion project of mine, telling the little stories that make us who we are through a camera.
On the daily, I am a GIS professional (a fancy word for making maps) and doing what I went to school for. But the weekends are reserved for getting to know people like you and creating art for them out in the forest, the mountains, and on the coast. Fulfilling my soul’s calling, especially in the rain.

My husband Blake and I have lived in the Pacific Northwest for (nearly) our entire lives. We live south of Seattle with our two cats, Finch & Felix, and our Australian Shepherd, Ophelia.
I am an Aquarius and will always find my unique vision in different scenarios. I pick up a lot on energy and it influences how I document with a camera, finding the unspoken subtleties that make us human, and the reasons we have chosen our partners.

There’s nothing I love more than a roadtrip on a rainy day with coffee in hand.
Or a healthy plate of olives, cheese, and bread paired with wine.
Or a huge bowl of pho or ramen after a hike (or for no reason at all).
Or doing absolutely nothing at home but watching classic movies with candles lit and a heated blanket, while fresh bread is baking.
What I’m drawn to has a significant influence in the way I create art. I would love to talk to anyone and everyone about the following:
Movies
Pan’s Labyrinth
The Lord of the Rings
Kiki’s Delivery Service
Shutter Island
Interstellar
Harry Potter
Haunting of Hill House (series)
Star Wars
Books
Into the Wild
Gone Girl
Game of Thrones
The Weight of Water

I saw a gap in the photography industry, where most photographers operate in the space of loud and outgoing and performative posing. As an introvert, our stories deserve to be told too. There’s power in quiet connection and how I photograph is catered towards bringing that to the forefront.
How I do it:
Getting to know ‘you’ first and foremost in a quiet way, your personality, habits, and hobbies that are important to you
An emphasis on the candid and natural moments. I give you your space to be yourself first, posed photography isn’t necessary.
My camera shutter is silent. Nothing is worse to me than your moments being underscored by the constant click of a camera shutter and jarring you out of your peace.
Fly on the wall energy. I don’t need to be your hype-girl or screaming from the rooftops for you. Instead, I’m your quietly artistic soul mate that’s making a Spotify playlist inspired by you as soon you book with me.

Leave no trace is practiced every day to help preserve the areas that are so magical to us. This includes coursework and education to follow leave no trace principles while photographing elopements and portraits.
How my photography JOURNEY started:
Meeting my husband Blake was truly the start of my photography journey. Attached at the hip by nearly day one, we knew this was it within the first few months of knowing each other. After five years together, Blake and I eloped on Mt. Rainier in 2017 with just a few close family & friends. On a dreary, romantic October morning, we had the mountain to ourselves while we said our vows.
Without that experience, I don’t think I would have found photography otherwise. I had never picked up a camera before this, and after eloping, I knew telling these stories with vision & heart was what I wanted to do.
Creating photos that ‘feel like’ how I feel when driving into the forest on a rainy fall day truly bewitched me, body and soul. It gripped me with such force, like being hit by a train. The calling refused to let me go, the universe insistent on me starting down this path, regardless of what I had to say about it.
Making an impact on everyone I’ve met on this creative journey is why I keep telling these stories. Making sure you feel heard and seen and valued while creating art.. I haven’t found anything better and it’s where my heart lies beating.
10 years later, Blake and I are lucky enough to be the parents of two cats: Finch (the clumsy, people-obsessed one with Disney princess eyes) and Felix (the shyest, coziest, most perfect boy), and our Australian Shepherd Ophelia (Ophie). Our sweet girl, obsessed with trips to the beach, who holds the world in her eyes.
Our favorite thing is honestly doing nothing together. You can find us grocery shopping for tonight’s next home-cooked meal with wine, sneaking in an over-priced coffee, and baking bread while watching movies on quiet days.
A weekend getaway is usually somewhere on the agenda. The Oregon Coast is a special place for us and never too far away, but we love to travel anywhere by ourselves together, with Ophie along for the ride no matter where it is.
