Rainy, Romantic Portraits on Cannon Beach, Oregon
Irene reached out to me with so much love in her voice with one goal - to capture her grandparents. Never having a session with a photographer before, she wanted her grandparents to have something tangible for the people that are her everything. And so on a trip out to Portland, we met at Cannon Beach for a quick nostalgic photo session.
A Romantic Winter Day at Pike Place Market, Seattle Washington
In the Pacific Northwest, we learn to embrace the darkness. Over-romanticizing the quiet, the dreary, the cloud-heavy skies and our minds. But every once in awhile the sun makes an appearance, reminding us to loosen our grip on the dark we hold dear.
Moody Portraits on Rattlensake Lake, Washington
A scene straight out of a movie - huddled close together on a cold, moody day, the sounds of water gently pulling us in. But we stay in the solace of each other's company in the chilly air.
Whispers on the water, but it's just the wind as it meets the leaves.
Footsteps haven't left a trace, but I know where we've been. Wanting without warning, we don't need one. In the darkness of fall, this intimacy is ours. I'm okay with not seeing another soul today, because all I need is yours. Given without hesitation now, although it wasn't always this way.
I'm wondering if it's as fleeting, or as everlasting, as whispers on the water.
